When Kiiara’s EP quietly appeared earlier this year, critics freaked out, mainly because no one had ever heard anything quite like this 21-year-old before. Her jams are equal parts “Sorry”-era Bieber and “Untitled (How Does It Feel)”-era D’Angelo, with a Birdy-like fragility in the vocals. (Confused? Just listen to the track “Gold” and you’ll get it.)
