You know Max Mara’s 101801 coat when you see it: The sloped shoulders, notched lapels and kimono sleeves have made the camel topper a bestseller since its introduction in 1981. This fall, Max Mara is re-releasing the original style, along with new black and oatmeal versions. To accompany the relaunch, Max Mara will host a roving exhibition of archive photos, taken by Roxanne Lowit, featuring stars (like Cyndi Lauper and Paris Hilton) wearing the coat. The display touches down in Toronto at the label’s flagship location on Bloor Street on September 28. ($4,150, maxmara.com)
