A Brand is Born

The word “buzzy” gets tossed around a lot in fashion, but for new label Sies Marjan—a Hudson’s Bay exclusive for this fall—it’s apt. Now that designer (and former creative head at Dries Van Noten) Sander Lak has had his first New York Fashion Week show (at the beginning of the year), his vibe is clear: high-impact, low-fuss clothes that transcend seasons. Expect to find blossom-print day dresses, Impressionist-painting jacquard coat sand blouses with cascades of ruffles hanging prettily on the racks at The Room at Hudson’s Bay in Toronto and Vancouver.
