Supe Liya Kebede founded Lemlem, her line of woven caftans, dresses and scarves, out of her New York City apartment in 2007. Her mission was simple: to revive the traditional weaving industry in her native Ethiopia. Ten years and 200 global stockists later, the label is teaming up with Joe Fresh on a collection of beachwear, swimsuits and accessories designed by Lemlem’s artisans in Addis Ababa and featuring the brand’s signature standout stripes.
