NOSTALGIA, ULTRA

“I moved to New York City in 1987 and started working for Calvin Klein that year. Calvin Klein Eternity launched in 1988, so it really has been a part of my entire adult life—professional and otherwise. It was such an exciting time, but I’m not nostalgic for the fashion at all. I didn’t find the fashion in the ’90s to be particularly amazing. From the platform shoes to the club-kid influences—I found a lot of it to be very confusing. If I look back on the work that I have done over the years, Calvin really was one of the only brands that stuck with a minimalist, clean look. We’ve been able to create a fragrance that has evolved with new iterations. This is a sign of an iconic and enduring brand. This version of Eternity feels more modern and fresh.” – CHRISTY TURLINGTON BURNS, the face of Eternity Intense Calvin Klein Eau de Parfum Spray ($95 for 100 mL), which is a rich swirling of aquatic flowers with hints of bergamot and sandalwood
