The products we’re coveting now.

Our top picks for April.

1. You could apply Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Highlighter in Champagne ($11) with a brush, but then you wouldn’t get to enjoy its seriously addictive suedelike texture. 2. Dior Forever Undercover 24H Full Coverage Foundation ($64) is the most pigmented foundation the brand has ever released. To maximize coverage, pat onto blemishes before smoothing out over skin. 3. Hairstylist Frédéric Fekkai’s latest endeavour is Bastide, a 25-year-old beauty brand he acquired in his hometown in the south of France. While the hand lotion is divine, the Huile Seche Epatante Dry Oil Mist ($68) is not to be missed. 4. We call this our “If I wear it, summer will come” shade. Apply one coat for a sheer wash of colour and then layer for more depth. Clove + Hallow Lip Crème Lipstick in Flaming Coral ($25). 5. There is always one shade in your palette you use up faster than the others. Smashbox has identified that, doubled it, added two complementary hues and packaged it all in a shape that doesn’t take up your entire purse. Photo Edit Eyeshadow Trio in Showmance ($26). 6. Finding the right shade of nude nail polish is always a struggle (so many undertones to consider). Luckily, CND has added four new hues to its lineup. This is our favourite of the bunch. Vinylux Weekly Polish in Unmasked ($12.50). 7. Don’t be put off by the cushiontip applicator of this lipstick from Dutch makeup artist Ellis Faas. It’s as simple to apply as any angular tube, and it’s as comfortable as it looks. Hot Lips Lipstick ($47.25). 8. “I couldn’t understand why [makeup brushes] were the ugly child of the family,” says makeup artist Matthew Waitesmith, so he founded Artis, a luxe brush line designed to be ergonomic for personal use, high performing and decidedly gorgeous to look at. Fluenta 5 Brush Set ($305; Oval 6 brush pictured). For details, see Shopping Guide.
