For the first time in its 123-year history, Swarovski is getting into the diamond business. The brand linked up with Penélope Cruz to design a fine-jewellery collection for its elevated Atelier range. The pieces, like an ice-blue-topaz cocktail ring and ruby drop earrings, feature created—not mined—diamonds that look like the natural gem but are sustainably made by heating up carbon atoms in a lab. The brand also uses fair-trade gold that’s responsibly sourced in Peru. Talk about the real deal.
