EMILY BLUNT, MARY POPPINS
“I remember being so moved by Mary Poppins— moved by that idea of this incredibly capable, magical person coming in and sweeping everything up and making it right again. She was a very exciting but comforting presence in this family’s life. I’m really trying to approach her as I would any other character, to take what I can from the script and make her my own. But, I mean, when I was leading the charge in front of 300 bicycles outside Buckingham Palace, I was like, ‘ I am Mary Poppins.’ And that’s mad!”
