1 We taxi to the gate under our own power but must be pushed back by a tractor or tug.

2 Some turboprop aircraft can back up by changing the angle of the propellers, but this manoeuvre is rarely used.

3 Our B777 fleet has a camera system that allows the captain to fine tune nose wheel placement during ground manoeuvres.

4 A few airports use a large mirror at the gate, which reflects the nose wheel back to the captain.
