DC Comics is gaining traction in the superhero blockbuster business. This aquatic epic reboots its titular lead, swapping out the character’s clean-cut comic-book looks for Jason Momoa’s smouldering swagger. Our half-human underwater hero is forced to take on his evil brother, King Orm, who has conquered mighty Atlantis and is set on adding dry land to his malevolent empire. The non-stop battle action certainly doesn’t come in waves.
