There’s Al­ways More at the Store

Mon­treal-based DJ/pro­ducer Pa­trick Hol­land (aka Project Pablo) de­liv­ers an­other solid EP of groovy house with There’s Al­ways More at the Store, his sec­ond for Ninja Tune’s Tech­ni­colour im­print. Af­ter a num­ber of EPs (three in 2017 alone), Hol­land sounds very com­fort­able here, with some taste­fully re­strained cuts aimed at the af­ter-party as op­posed to the main event. Opener “Napo­le­tana” sets the mood well with a coolly bounc­ing bass line and synth melody, the lat­ter riff­ing a few oc­taves higher once the beat dis­ap­pears. Sec­ond track “Re­mind Me To­mor­row” is a slower burn,
