There’s Always More at the Store
Montreal-based DJ/producer Patrick Holland (aka Project Pablo) delivers another solid EP of groovy house with There’s Always More at the Store, his second for Ninja Tune’s Technicolour imprint. After a number of EPs (three in 2017 alone), Holland sounds very comfortable here, with some tastefully restrained cuts aimed at the after-party as opposed to the main event. Opener “Napoletana” sets the mood well with a coolly bouncing bass line and synth melody, the latter riffing a few octaves higher once the beat disappears.
