WESTWARD MUSIC FESTIVAL
One of this summer’s most eclectic and diverse festival lineups belongs to the Westward Music Festival. In just its second year, the West coast music celebration has expanded for an even bigger sophomore year, taking over venues across Vancouver. Headliners for the September 13 to 16 festival include emotive funk-pop mastermind Blood Orange, worldly pop maven Kali Uchis, Canadian tearjerker Rhye and old soul folk songwriter Angel Olsen alongside YouTube pop weirdo Poppy, electronic duo Honne, boundary-breaking producer SOPHIE, singer Kelela, rapper Saba, dream pop act Cigarettes After Sex and tons more — there are over 60 acts in total to take in.
