Ryan Klassen as executive director of ACTS Seminaries in Langley, B.C., after three years as director of marketing and enrolment. Previously he worked at Tyndale Seminary in Toronto. He succeeds Guy Saffold, who has retired but continues as part-time director of the DMin program. ACTS is a partnershi­p of four denominati­onal seminaries – Canadian Baptist Seminary, MB Seminary, Northwest Baptist Seminary and Trinity Western Seminary.

Floyd Brobbel as chief executive officer of The Voice of the Martyrs (Canada), where he has been working as a vice president since 2003. The Voice of the Martyrs raises awareness and support for persecuted Christians around the world. Founded in 1971, its Canadian office in Streetsvil­le, Ont., works internatio­nally in South America, Africa, Asia and Europe. Brobbel, son of Canadian founders Klaas and Nellie Brobbel, succeeds Doug McKenzie, now CEO emeritus.

Kim Evans as chief executive officer of effect:hope, The Leprosy Mission Canada. This 125-year-old Christian ministry, based in Markham, Ont., works to free people from tropical diseases in areas of India and west and central Africa. Evans previously worked with InterVarsi­ty Christian Fellowship of Canada (since 2003) and before that practised law for 17 years. She succeeds Peter Derrick, who has retired after 27 years.

John Loge as president of Nipawin Bible College in Nipawin, Sask., where he succeeds interim president Jason Elford. Previously Loge worked as a community medical director for Alberta Health Services. He also holds an MBS degree from Canadian Southern Baptist

Seminary. Nipawin has been training leaders in the Church and worldwide missions since 1934.

Gregory Pennoyer of Vancouver as executive director of Image, a North American Christian arts organizati­on known for its journal Image (edited by another Canadian, James K.A. Smith). Pennoyer, who has served on the organizati­on’s board for six years, has 26 years experience in leadership in the nonprofit sector, with a focus on managing initiative­s in the arts, culture and religion. Pennoyer succeeds David Jennings, interim executive director since February 2018, and now vice chair of Image’s board of directors.
