MAKE CONNECTIONS —make a difference

DALIT FREEDOM NETWORK Empowering through education Did you know people considered to be low caste in India suffer lifelong discrimination and oppression? Sadly, this is true. At Dalit Freedom Network we’re comprised of Canadians like you who’ve chosen to make a difference for India’s poor, marginalized and low caste people. Together we work alongside an international network of people brought together by compassion for India’s oppressed people. We are committed to helping India’s poor and low caste overcome oppression, realize their dignity and worth, and become self-reliant. We empower through education and believe educating marginalized kids is the best way to make a difference for the child receiving an education, their family, as well as their entire community. By giving kids access to quality English education, our donors ensure a brighter future is within reach. Our students can go on to attend university and pursue careers from teachers to doctors! At Dalit Freedom Network we work among various communities and do not discriminate on the basis of caste, ethnicity, nationality or religious identity. Everyone deserves education and the chance to build a bright future. Will you join this freedom movement and help every child achieve their Godgiven potential? www.DalitFreedom.ca MCC CANADA One day. Multiple locations. Thousands of stitches of hope and warmth. Help us touch the lives of people in need while celebrating MCC’s 100th anniversary. We’re attempting to collect 6,500 comforters to deliver to people affected by conflict and disaster around the world. A handmade comforter provides not only warmth, but also a tangible message to people in places like Syria or Ukraine that their needs are not forgotten. Often individuals and families receiving MCC comforters are in disaster situations and lack basic necessities. Comforters are used as bed covers, room dividers, carpets, curtains, wraps, mattresses and more. Again and again recipients express their gratitude for the gift of an MCC comforter.

We need your help to reach our goal of 6,500 handmade comforters on January 18, 2020. MCCCanada.ca/GreatWinterWarm-Up
