Be inspired by ordinary women spreading the gospel story in the Compel podcast

Women of simple faith and great courage have often been the first to respond to the call to take the gospel to some of the most remote and isolated villages on Earth. In 1968, Marg Jank and her husband helped establish our cross-cultural church planting training program. She went on to serve for over 50 years among a tribal people group in Venezuela, amid hardship, grief and political turmoil, pressing on to translate God’s Word into the heart language of the Yanomami.

Another woman, Jill Goring, started off as a Bible translator among an unreached people group in Asia, and since then has moved into an international co-ordinating role for our translation consultants who serve in more than 30 countries. It is the faithful and persevering service of women like Marg and Jill that help advance the gospel message. To see a thriving church established, we need not only God’s Word in the heart language, but also women to disciple women in their walk with Christ.

We have interviewed women Bible translators and church planters on our missions podcast Compel. Not only have we heard about the joys and challenges of translating God’s Word, and teaching others about God, but we have also seen God’s faithfulness and goodness in equipping and sending ordinary women to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth. You can be inspired by more women like these! Listen to the Compel podcast on Apple Podcast, Spotify or at www.CompelPodcast.ca. www.Ethnos.ca
