For 14 years the Congregational Assistance Plan (CAP) at Shalem Mental Health Network has tracked the presenting issues of thousands of Christians from multiple denominations coming for psychotherapy. How open are Evangelicals, asks Mark Vander Vennen, to engaging with this evidence that Christ followers present essentially the same issues as people who do not share our faith?
