Tough times for university programs

Both Redeemer University in Ontario and Trinity Western University in B.C. announced recently the ending of their theatre programs, reportedly for financial reasons (see www. TWU.ca/Office-Provost/Emerging-Stronger and www.redeemer.ca/resound/new-BBAfaculty-hiring-and-program-restructuring).

The closings disturbed some alumni of these programs and other school supporters, leading for example to an open letter questioning Redeemer’s decision as published in Christian Courier (www.ChristianCourier.ca/Liberal-Arts-Lament) and reported on by CBC News Hamilton.
