Pastor fined for feeding homeless
The pastor of Langley Vineyard Church in B.C. is facing pressure from the city over fines issued for feeding the homeless in a public park. The pastor was fined in 2018 for “unlawful land use” in a public park, not having a permit for a gathering, and being an unauthorized mobile vendor despite not charging for the food. The six tickets from two separate dates total $800. The pastor has tried to speak to the city about the issue, to no avail.
