Boogie Nights

Between Netflix’s Studio 54 documentary and Ian Schrager’s new Times Square nightspot, Paradise Club, it’s safe to say that Studio 54 is in the midst of a flourishing renaissance—more than four decades after its initial heyday. The latest venture to capitalize on this peak nostalgia for the lost sequin-filled days of disco is Michael Kors’s Studio 54 capsule collection (from $490), which reproduces the club’s art deco logo on handbags, puffer jackets and lurid metallic sweaters. The collection isn’t just a marketing ploy to capitalize on our collective yearning for pure, unencumbered indulgence (and perhaps an Andy Warhol sighting or two), however. “The pieces from our Studio 54 partnership are special because

I spent many nights there when I first moved to Manhattan,” explains Kors. “From the very first time I walked in the door, I knew that the mix of style, energy and glamour was truly special.” Diana Ross, eat your heart out. —Isabel B. Slone
