Back in 1999, Taschen published the most expensive book of the 20th century. The gargantuan collection of career-spanning photographs and portraits by legendary fashion photographer Helmut Newton was aptly titled SUMO and was so massive that it was sold with its own bookstand (designed by Philippe Starck). Twenty years later, the oversized book is getting a more manageable (and way more affordable) reissue in an XL edition ($200) revised by the late photographer’s wife and frequent collaborator, June Newton.
