Step 1 Rinse your glass with cold wa­ter. This rinses soap residue away and gives that foamy froth stay­ing power.

Step 2 Tilt the glass at a 45-de­gree an­gle and pour beer gen­tly down the side un­til the glass is three-quar­ters full.

Step 3 Tilt the glass up­right and pour beer quickly straight down the mid­dle. Aim for two inches of foam on most beer styles. Bub­bly Bel­gian and wheat beers will have even more froth.
