gose BEERS
Gose (pronounced go-sa, and not to be confused with Belgian geuze) originated in Goslar, Germany, in the 16th century. It’s a light, fruity malted-wheat beer made sour by lactic acid bacteria and traditionally flavoured with coriander seed and salt. Its popularity faded to the point of extinction in the 20th century but enthusiasts have since revived the style, and a number of craft breweries in Canada and the U.S. now produce it.
