HARISSA ROASTED SWEET POTATO & CARROT SOUP
Harissa, a spicy North African pepper paste, goes a long way in boosting the flavour of so many dishes. Look for tubes or jars of harissa at the supermarket, either with the spices or condiments. The tubes tend to have more of a raw, stronger flavour than the jars do. For a change of the soup’s taste, simply sub either Indian or Thai red curry paste for the harissa. For more of a main meal, leftover cooked chicken or tofu could be added.
