Too thin
If you like your gravy a little thicker, simply simmer it down. You could also mix 1 tbsp (15 mL) all-purpose flour with 1 tbsp (15 mL) softened butter until blended, then whisk it continuously into the hot gravy. Simmer for a few minutes, and you’re done!
Too bland
Before overhauling your gravy completely, add a pinch more salt or pepper to improve the flavour. Still not good enough? Try a splash of Worcestershire sauce for a hit of umami and extra colour.
