1.25 oz. Wil­libald gin 1 oz. As­bach Ger­man brandy .75 oz. smoked black-cherry syrup * 3 dashes to­bacco bit­ters

*SMOKED BLACK-CHERRY SYRUP

1. Us­ing pit­ted dark black cher­ries, smoke for 20 min­utes us­ing alder wood chips

2. Make sim­ple syrup (1:1 sugar and hot wa­ter)

3. Af­ter cher­ries are smoked, let them steep in sim­ple syrup overnight, drain and re­serve cher­ries to de­hy­drate for gar­nish.

TO SERVE

Add all in­gre­di­ents to mix­ing glass with ice. Stir and strain into Old Fash­ioned glass over large ice cube. Gar­nish with de­hy­drated smoked cher­ries.
