With its hybrid soft shell fabr ic construction, the Ferrosi Hoody offers exceptional breathability while still providing adequate wind and water protection. Outdoor Research wisely uses a lightweight stretch woven fabr ic on the main body and adds a slightly more durable and abrasion resistant stretch woven material on the shoulders and ar ms. The result is a jacket that breathes incredibly well during long approaches or strenuous climbing but also delivers excellent durability in traditional high wear areas like the pack/ shoulder contact points. Two simple hand warmer pockets and a lone laminated chest pocket provide plenty of low-bulk storage. For extra weather protection and comfort, the Ferrosi has a stretchy, wind-shedding, helmet-compatible hood as well as an offset main zipper that minimizes chafing on the chin. This is an exceptional no-compromise gar ment for climbers moving light and fast in less extreme alpine conditions.
