Working closely with Primaloft, The North Face developed a revolutionary synthetic insulation that closely mimics 600- fill down. Consisting of small short fibres that resemble down clusters, Thermoball insulation is warm, extremely light, and highly compressible (like down) but does not lose its insulating qualities when it becomes wet. This minimalist jacket easily stuffs into its own pocket ready for deployment when the temperature dips, great for long fall rock routes. As this is a lightweight insulating piece, The North Face avoids superfluous details and instead offers two simple hand warmer pockets and low profile elastic cuffs. There is no hood so pack a toque!
