Environment Fund
The purpose of the Environment Fund is to provide individuals or groups financial support in their pursuit of activities that contr ibute to the protection and preservation of mountain and climbing environments, including the preservation of alpine flora and fauna in their natural habitat
Jen Higgins Memorial Fund
The Jen Higgins Memorial Fund was established in 1997 “to promote alpine-related outdoor pursuits for young women.” Applications from young, female members of the Alpine Club of Canada will be considered.
Jim Colpitts Memorial Fund
The Jim Colpitts Memorial Fund was established in 1991 for the purpose of assisting young people in pursuit of mountain-related training courses such as avalanche training, wilderness first aid, rock/crevasse rescue, mountain leadership training, acmg training, etc. If you are between the ages of 17 and 24, you may apply for up to $ 500.
John Lauchlan Award
The John Lauchlan Memorial Award is a cash award designed to assist expeditions of Canadian mountaineers and explorers. The award exists to perpetuate the bold and adventurous spir it which John Lauchlan exemplified in his mountain exploits.
Karl Nagy Memorial Award
The Karl Nagy Memorial Award is granted to aspir ing guides and amateur leaders in alternating years. The award consists of a tr ip to the Club’s General Mountaineer ing Camp, where the award recipient is able to shadow and lear n from full guides.
