The Sawtooth is a great warm bag with some innovative features at a reasonable price. Marmot starts by using an efficient and reasonably priced 650 fill-power down – perfectly appropriate for cragging situations. It then encases the down in a lightweight shell with ground level seams that minimize heat loss. This shell also features a special pocket in the foot box for heat packs – very toasty. Another interesting component on the Sawtooth is the stretch tricot baffles which are incredibly durable and extend the life of the bag. Throw in a roomy and warm hood as well as a generous mummy shape and climbers have a great bag for less extreme climbing situations.
