New Rockies Peak Climbed

Ian Welsted and Brandon Pullan summitted an unclimbed sub-peak of Mount Aye, 3,236 m, on the B.C./Alberta border, up the north face direct, on October 20th. The ascent took 12- hours round tr ip bivi to bivi. The route climbs two pitches of WI4, followed by hundreds of metres of snow and ice couloir climbing topped with a thin WI4 pitch and a snow gully direct to the summit. They named their route Always Chasing Dragons IV WI4 650 m.
