Determine how the co-operative will operate. Def ine the responsibilities of each board member, and begin drafting a constitution that wil l include your vision, mission, values and by-laws. This step can be tedious, but is a ver y important par t of prepar ing your co-operative to “r un itself.” Things to think about at this stage include: developing a for mat for members to access the facilit y, route setting policies, membership costs and accounting.
