New Denali Speed Record

Kilian Jornet set a new speed record on Denali, beating the old one by more than five hours. Jornet, 26, made the roundtrip from bottom to top, about 50 kilometres in 11 hours and 40 minutes. July 2013, Jornet set the speed record on Mont Blanc when he climbed the peak in four hours and 57 minutes. Then in August 2013 he set a new record on the Matterhorn at two hours and 52 minutes. As part of his Summits of My Life mission, he is climbing some of the most famous mountains in the world. Next on the list are Elbrus, Aconcagua and Everest.
