The Mont Blanc Pro brings Scarpa’s SockFit Technolog y – developed in conjunction with alpinist Ueli Steck – to an all-leather mountaineering boot. The key to SockFit is a low-prof ile f it over the instep and an insole that allows forefoot f lex while maintaining edging abilit y over the big toe. In the Mont Blanc Pro, the result is a burly boot that walks exceptionally well, even on pavement, but is still suitable for all-day front-pointing missions and scree slogfests. An integrated neoprene gaiter keeps rocks and snow out, while an insulated lining adds warmth and waterproofness. To-the-toe lacing allows a close f it, and a separate instep lock lets you really lock down the heel. Lighter and more comfortable than the Mont Blanc that they’re based on, the Mont Blanc Pro is a solid do-it-all mountain boot.
