Ethan Pringle Re­peats Amer­ica’s Hard­est Route

On May 17, Ethan Pringle made the sec­ond as­cent of Jumbo Love 5.15b at Clark Moun­tain, Calif. The route is the hard­est sin­gle pitch of rock climb­ing in North Amer­ica. The 80 - me­tre route is at Clark’s Monaster y, and was bolted by Randy Leav­itt. Be­fore it was sent by Chris Sharma in 2008, Chris Lind­ner and Pr in­gle had pro­jected it. It was the hard­est route Shar ma had climbed at the time and was pos­si­bly the hard­est in the world.
