Big Spring in Alaska

Canadian Max Fisher and American Eric Bonnett made the f irst ascent of Otter Water Boogie Man V 5.11- A1 600 metres on Kooshdakha­a Spire in Alaska. They then travelled to northern B.C. by raft and climbed Lichening Bolt Buttress IV 5.11-, a 400- metre route to the top of an unclimbed peak near the Nourse River. Also in Alaska, Europeans Hansjörg Auer and Much Mayr made the f irst ascent of the unclimbed Mount Reaper by their route Sugar Man M7 A1 750 metres up the north face. The most impressive new route establishe­d in Alaska was by Canadian Alik Berg and American Skiy Detray up the east face of the Mooses Tooth. They called their route Illusions of a Raven VI WI4R 5.9 A4 1,300 metres.–
