Big Spring in Alaska
Canadian Max Fisher and American Eric Bonnett made the f irst ascent of Otter Water Boogie Man V 5.11- A1 600 metres on Kooshdakhaa Spire in Alaska. They then travelled to northern B.C. by raft and climbed Lichening Bolt Buttress IV 5.11-, a 400- metre route to the top of an unclimbed peak near the Nourse River. Also in Alaska, Europeans Hansjörg Auer and Much Mayr made the f irst ascent of the unclimbed Mount Reaper by their route Sugar Man M7 A1 750 metres up the north face. The most impressive new route established in Alaska was by Canadian Alik Berg and American Skiy Detray up the east face of the Mooses Tooth. They called their route Illusions of a Raven VI WI4R 5.9 A4 1,300 metres.–
