Gripped

Dress smart When cragging, I dress to climb with the minimum amount of clothing possible. This prevents overheating while climbing and allows greater movement and less weight. To keep warm while belaying I like to use layers that go over my climbing layer. If the temps are fairly mild, I skip the base layers and puffy pants and the belay jacket comes with me instead. If climbing with fruitboots keep them wrapped up in a bag to retain some warmth. Solid fuel hand warmers put out a lot of heat and can be used inside your boots for extra heat while they are not being worn.
