Gripped - - BACK TO BASICS -

Thin gloves Thick gloves are great for belaying, but terrible for climbing. If your body is warm and your blood is moving thin gloves or bare hands offer the best dexterity and the least amount of pump while climbing. While they offer no water resistance, golf gloves offer great dexterity. Keep your climbing gloves warm while belaying and put them on and wear your belay gloves over them while preparing to climb. If your hands are slightly cool before you start climbing they will probably only get colder. I find that if they are warm they generally stay warm as long as I keep moving.
