Gripped - - BACK TO BASICS -

Keep your picks and front points sharp Sharp picks are less likely to skate off technical holds. A sharp, properly shaped pick is also less likely to break holds. Dull, misshaped picks tend to load the outside edge of the hold rather than the back of the hold where it is strongest. Use a half-moon file to remove the first tooth and hook the tip of your pick. The end of your thumbnail makes a good guide to the profile of the hook.
