Ashima Shiraishi V15

Ashima Shiraisi became the f irst woman to climb V15+ one week before she turned 15. She was on spring break to Japan when she sent a route called Horizon. She is also the youngest climber in history to climb the grade. The problem is on Mount Hiei and was f irst climbed by Dai Koyamada. The route involves 25 moves, which makes for a long problem. Shiraishi said that Koyamada recommended Horizon to her during a trip in December 2015. She nearly sent it, but had to return in the spring of t his year. Koyamada cleaned Horizon three years ago and said it’s one of the hardest projects he had and sent it in May 2015.
