The Buandik area has a long approach, but has classics like Simplicity V11 and Rootarted V12. The rock is orange and grey and has picturesque backdrops. Mount Fox is where most visiting climbers head to f irst. There are the famous Cobweb boulders, with big features and interesting texture. In the Victoria Range, Ceria spent much of his third visit working The Stepping Stone V15. “One of the holds on Stepping Stone is a contender for the best pinch in the Grampians and the rock quality stands out from all the rest,” said Ceria. “It is located in an amazing area, but you probably won’t like the path to get there. On the last day, I made some progress, but I couldn’t stick one move. There was nothing I desired more than grabbing that pinch, but in the end, I couldn’t.

Bouldering in the Grampians is unlike anywhere else in the world. The sandstone boulders, combined with the amazing Australian outback, have lured many of the world’s best boulderers time and time again.–
