Second Ascent of Lowe Eiger Test Piece

At the end of December, Thomas Huber, Stephan Siegrist and Roger Schaeli made the long-awaited second ascent of Metanoia, Jeff Lowe’s monster route on the north face of the Eiger. Lowe established the route solo over nine days in the winter 1991. Huber said after, “Jeff was in a whole other world, far from the usual reality. Here only your intrinsic instincts and intuition keep you alive.
