Kidd Falls
This is one of the best early-season climbs in the valley. Mount Kidd has a number of drainages and Kidd Falls forms in a giant south-facing feature. The avalanche hazard is as bad as can be after heavy snow, but if conditions are good then this 55- metre WI4 is worth being on any tick list.
Getting there: Park at the Galatea parking area as you would for A Bridge Too Far. Head across the river to the junction with Terrace Trail. Go up a ridge on the right of a drainage to the climb, which is obvious.
