New B.C. Desert Ice

Jim Ongena and Pete Rasmussen made the first ascent of an unlikely formed route in Oliver, B.C. The area is mostly a dry, warm place, but this winter served up the right conditions to form a thin ice line in Gallaghers Canyon. They called their climb Stubborn Old Bastards, a 170- metre WI4+.
