If you’re doing a multipitch ice route then it’s a good idea to have lanyards from your tools to your harness. Why? In case you drop your tool you won’t lose it. The X-gyro uses a clever patented swivel design that allows each tool to rotate independently, which eliminates twists and tangles.

The webbing cords stretch with ease and don’t limit your swing like some lanyards. They come in two lengths for all climbers. We don’t go to the Canadian Rockies or remote Quebec ice without them.
