Dave Graham Sends Multi-year Project

Dave Graham, 37, sent Hypnotized Minds in Rocky Mountain National Park after attempting it for seven years. He first tried it in fall 2013 after Daniel Woods made the first ascent in 2010 and gave it a grade of V15, but later upgraded it. On Graham’s first day this year, he pieced together a number of crux moves. He said, “On day two, I came super close to sticking the crux pinch, I felt stronger physically than I ever had, and calmer in the mind.” It was on his third day that Graham would tick his project. “On day three, it was pretty warm for my taste, but as a snow storm was rolling in it seemed smart to give at least a few tries. First go I fell off the last move, second go at the crux, and third try, I sent,” he said.
