I’m delighted to see Emma Reddington return to the pages of H&H. The issues she has worked on stand out in such a contemporary way and feel much more representational of Canada’s design scene. She also highlights the cultural context of many pieces that are featured in articles, which is critical for building more cultural awareness within home styling. It makes the magazine feel fresh yet grounded.

I’ve been a happy subscriber of
House & Home since its inception. I’m so pleased to see that you’ve begun to incorporate articles that address the reusing and renewing of possessions! It’s time that we, as consumers, pay attention to our earth. I’ve been a proponent of this mindset for years and have renewed many pieces of furniture for family and friends. It’s a feel-good thing for me on many levels. — WENDY WALKER,
Wasaga Beach, Ont.
The November issue of House & Home is, without a doubt, your best this year! I’m such a fan of Mary Berg (“Eat, Drink and Be Mary”) and was ecstatic to open the book and see her face.

The sophisticated style of your November cover story (“Vancouver, je t’aime”) is the type of content
I’d love to see more of from your magazine. Jackie and Joe’s home is culturally rich and full of personality, and has earned itself a permanent spot on my decorating mood board. — KYLE ASHICK, Montreal
I absolutely loved how Jackie and Joe decorated their home. It reflects their interests and heritage in a very authentic way, and their collection of books is just marvellous. This home demonstrates a life lived vividly and with flair. I’m thankful that you’re not just showcasing white, black and beige homes like some stories in the past.
— JANET McINTOSH, Mississauga, Ont.
I love my Saturday morning tea with your fab magazine! Please share any information you might have on Jackie Kai Ellis’s dress and shoes from the incredible cover story!
— LYNNE MYERS, Burlington, Ont.
The cover of the November issue takes me right to holiday decorating and pure style. And can we please talk about those shoes!
— DEBRA CORSARO, Nanaimo, B.C.
Editor’s Note: We asked Jackie to spill the beans on her cover outfit. She was wearing vintage Céline shoes from The Sequel Sale and an Extreme Cashmere dress from Boboli Vancouver.
While it’s wonderful to support sustainable products, you may have missed the mark with “A Fine Weave” (“The Healthy Home,” October). The material is touted as “earth-friendly,” but I’m wondering how true this is, given it has to be transported from India.
— GAYLA HARRIS, Toronto
I love your magazine more than many others I’ve read, and I enjoy keeping up with your videos on YouTube. H&H articles transcend all styles and cultures, which I think is very important. Thanks for the great reads! — DONNA BLACKWELL,
North Chesterfield, Va.
