Charissa von Harringa

is an early career scholar and writer based in Montreal. Her research focuses on the visual and material culture that emerge from cross-cultural histories in contemporary art. With a B.A. in Anthropology from New

York University, she is currently completing her Masters in Art History at Concordia University. She will begin her PhD studies at Concordia this Fall with a focus on performance in contemporary circumpolar arts.
