Sandra Barz Receives Honorary Degree

Sandra Barz has been acknowledged with an Honorary Doctorate of Letters from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, MB. Barz has dedicated her professional life to the study and promotion of Inuit Art. In 1976

Barz launched a foundational international newsletter on circumpolar art and affairs, Arts & Culture of the North. This important publication helped pave the way for the Inuit Art Quarterly.

She is the author of the seminal resource on Canadian Inuit prints, the Inuit Artists Print Workbook. We would like to congratulate Dr. Barz on this achievement.
