Tanya Tagaq and Maatalii Okalik Honoured with 2017 Indspire Awards

Indspire, the largest non-governmental funder of Indigenous education, has recently announced the recipients of the

2017 Indspire Awards: Celebrating Indigenous Achievement. Included among the 14 honourees are singer Tanya Tagaq, in the Arts category, and Maatalii Okalik, President of the National Inuit Youth Council, who will be awarded in the Youth category. The awards ceremony will take place at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa on March 24, 2017.
