Abra­ham Anghik Ruben, OC, is a sculp­tor, born near Paulatuk, Inu­vialuit Set­tle­ment Re­gion, NT, cur­rently re­sid­ing in Salt Spring Is­land, BC. A grad­u­ate of the Na­tive Art Cen­ter at the Univer­sity of Alaska Fair­banks, Anghik Ruben’s work is char­ac­ter­ized by its imag­i­na­tive sto­ry­telling and in­cred­i­ble de­tail. His work is in­cluded in both pub­lic and pri­vate col­lec­tions, and he reg­u­larly ex­hibits in gal­leries and mu­se­ums across North Amer­ica, in­clud­ing the Na­tional Gallery of Canada, the Smith­so­nian Na­tional Mu­seum of the Amer­i­can In­dian and the Win­nipeg Art Gallery, among many oth­ers.
